Hi Guys, in this post we are going to see a little bit of animation in music videos. I `ve compiled a list of videos trying to show different techniques of animation, and after this showcase of videos we are going to learn about the techniques.

The Lady and The Reaper (La Dama y La Muerte)

The city of Granada (Spain) became one of the leading representatives of animation in Spain after the excellent work of young Grenadian Recio Javier Gracia, of the Kandor Moon production company and with the collaboration of Antonio Banderas (as a producer), that gave as a result the short called “The Lady and The Reaper“.

Sand Drawing is the name given to a style of live performance art, and also to a type of animation. An artist creates a series of images using sand, a process which is achieved by applying sand to a surface and then rendering images by drawing lines and figures in the sand with one’s hands. To increase visibility and to add further artistic aesthetic, a sand animation performer will often use the aid of an overhead projector or lightboard. In my first post at Concept Dezain we are going to take a look at the excelent work of illustrator and animator Juan Pablo Zaramella.  First a litlle about the person: Zaramella was born in Argentina en 1972 Graduated at the Instituto de Arte Cinematografico de Avellaneda as Animation Director, he began his career making animations for advertisement. Since 2000, Juan Pablo has been making independent animated shorts with the producer Silvina Cornillón. These films have been awarded prizes all around the world.

Developed by Peruvian and foreign professionals using cutting edge 3D technology, the film has succeed in showing the astonishing beauty of the under-water world scenery, and the creatures that dwell in it.
