A logo represents a brand and serves as an instant means of brand recognition and recollection but it is true nonetheless. The process for logo design is not as simple as it seems. It is not just about zeroing in on a design that appeals to your aesthetic sense.

Since childhood, I’ve been a fan of famous brands and their logo designs. Logo designing was one of the factors that motivated me into the field of graphic design.

It is rightly said that brands are like human beings. They have their own set of personality traits and attribute that tell apart from one another. Just like we known and remember each other through our names, brands also generate memorability through their etymology.

Negative space is a creative technique of an interestingly artistic shape around the subject of an image. The effect is best produced in a black and white image, where the subject is kept in black and the remaining white space forms another illusionary object.

A horse is a horse, of course, but sometimes, it’s also a symbol. We talk about fast cars in terms of “horse power”; we get our information “Straight from the horse’s mouth”. And when we’re passionate about something, “wild horses couldn’t drag you away”.

A brand takes a long time to establish and it’s made up of several different complex layers. It may take years to watch a brand catch on fire, or it may seem to happen over night.
